Thermistor sensor

Standard sensor for petrol and oil tanks

Sensors for overfill protection and for electronic level monitoring.

Suitable for petrol and oil tanks above or underground.

The sensor's sensing element consists of a thermistor of steel-encapsulated PTC type. PTC = positive temperature coefficient, means that the thermistor when it is passed through by an intrinsically safe current, increases its resistance at the same time as the temperature in the thermistor rises.

Since the thermistor can only reach its higher temperature when it is in air or gas, the amplifier, which is connected to the thermistor, can determine whether the thermistor is in air, gas or liquid.

The sensor is designed for use in the Ex-Zone.

Sensor bracket made of powder-coated zinc casting. Connection in tank R1 ”. Probe tube of aluminum diameter 18/15 which is attached to the sensor bracket with conical screw connection. The probe tube is cut to the correct length during assembly.

Lengths over 2,000 mm are delivered to order.

The sensor is not suitable for use in ethanol or methanol.
