Thermistor sensor

Standard sensors for petrol and oil tanks as well as tanks containing ethanol and E85

Sensors for overfill protection and for electronic level monitoring.

The sensor's sensing element consists of a steel-encapsulated thermistor of the PTC type. PTC = positive temperature coefficient, means that the thermistor when it is passed through by an intrinsically safe current, increases its resistance at the same time as the temperature in the thermistor rises.

Since the thermistor can only reach its higher temperature when it is in air or gas, the amplifier, which is connected to the thermistor, can determine whether the thermistor is in air, gas or liquid.

The sensor is designed for use in the Ex-Zone.

Probe tube made of acid-resistant stainless steel diameter 10/8. Mounting in the tank is done with a conical R-1/2 ”screw connection. Length adjustment is performed easily by shifting the screw connection and then locking the sensor for the desired length. Excess probe tubes can be easily cut so that the tube does not protrude above the tank.

The thermistor is encapsulated in acid-resistant stainless steel to prevent corrosion.

The sensor is particularly suitable for use with ethanol or E85.
