Thermistor sensor

Standard sensor for chemical tanks

Sensors for overfill protection and for electronic level monitoring. Suitable for petrol and oil tanks above or underground. ATEX certified.

The sensor's sensing element consists of a Teflon-insulated thermistor of the PTC type. PTC = positive temperature coefficient, means that the thermistor when it is passed through by an intrinsically safe current, increases its resistance at the same time as the temperature in the thermistor rises.

Since the thermistor can only reach its higher temperature when it is in air or gas, the amplifier, which is connected to the thermistor, can determine whether the thermistor is in air, gas or liquid.

The sensor is designed for use in the Ex-Zone.

Sensor bracket made of acid-resistant stainless steel in the cistern with R1 ”connection. The thermistor is Teflon-insulated, which enables use in conductive liquids.

The sensor is ordered in any length and is manufactured as standard for lengths up to 3 meters.

Lengths over 3,000 mm are delivered to order.

The sensor is particularly suitable for use in heavy oil tanks, chemical tanks or for ethanol-mixed petrol.
