ID-221
The Leakwise ID-221 oil sheen sensor is developed to detect thin layers of hydrocarbons on water surfaces in various industrial environments, for example oil monitoring in sumps, storage tanks and groundwater. It uses electromagnetic absorption to reliably detect oil, and can sense layers as little as 0.3mm thick. The sensor delivers continuous real-time data and alarms, making it ideal for early warning and spill prevention in environmentally sensitive areas.
Features and benefits
- Liquid sensor for monitoring hydrocarbons and other organic solvents in wet wells.
- Detection range: 0.3 – 25 mm of hydrocarbon on water or saline solution.
- Minimum required water depth: 30 cm above the bottom of a well, tank or sump.
- Maximum permitted water depth: 45 meters.
- Water velocity: Up to approximately 20 cm per second when the sensor is installed in a stilling well.
- Working temperature for water: 0 – 70 °C, with limitation to avoid freezing.
- Air temperature range for operation: -10 – 80 °C.
- The sensor can monitor both brackish and freshwater environments.
- Optimal for measurement in sump and well applications with varying water levels.
- Easy installation and maintenance in both industrial and environmental monitoring settings.
