What does a separator alarm do?

A separator alarm, sometimes referred to as an oil separator alarm or grease separator alarm depending on the application, monitors levels in an oil or grease separator and warns when action is needed. Depending on the configuration, the alarm can be used to indicate oil or grease layer, high liquid level and sludge level.

The system normally consists of a control unit and one or more sensors placed in the separator. When a sensor detects an alarm level, the alarm is indicated locally by sound, light, display or relay output. Some models can also send measured values and alarm status to AfrisoCloud for remote reading.
