Together we make a difference
Dear friends and colleagues,
This year we are not only spreading Christmas cheer, but we are also spreading vital water to those who need it most. Together we support Help at Hand and their efforts to change lives in Karamoja, northeastern Uganda.
Water for Life
For the fourth year in a row, the people of Karamoja are struggling with dried up rivers and falling groundwater levels. Harvest after harvest withers away, and the need for clean and safe water is urgent. Karamoja is facing one of the world's worst famine disasters, and we have chosen to make a real difference by supporting Help at Hand and their projects.
Help us secure the water of the future
Since 2019, Help at Hand has been on site and working hard to build and renovate water wells in the region. Their efforts are a lifeline for the population and constitute a basic prerequisite for survival. By securing the wells against pollution from cattle and against the malaria mosquito, they demonstrate a holistic effort to promote health and well-being.
